Mumbai, October 31, 2026: Filmmaker and director Sanjay Gupta, best known for directing films like Kaante, Shootout at Wadala, and Kaabil, passed away unexpectedly. The Hindi cinema industry is in grief. He died at home in Mumbai after what appeared to be an unintentional fall. According to reports, he was 57 years old.
Preliminary reports state that Gupta fell at his Versova, Mumbai, home and suffered a severe head injury. After filing an Accidental Death Report (ADR), Mumbai Police started looking into the situation. The investigation is still ongoing to determine the precise order of events.
