Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawail, is just another YRF Spy Universe movie with Alia Bhatt in a lead role.
The story revolves around Sita (Alia Bhatt), daughter of RAW chief Vikrant Kaul (Anil Kapoor). As part of the conspiracy, Fateh Singh Lakhawat (Bobby Deol) takes care of Sita like a father and gives her every possible martial art / army training. Sita had a twin sister, Durga (Sharvari), who was much away from her life and was not aware of her sister. A twist comes in Site’s life when she comes to know that Fateh Singh is a Pakistani spy in the Indian defense system. The climax is the real crux of the story, so to know what happens at the end, one must watch it.
Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s action sequences are excellent. In terms of action situations, both actresses have performed admirably. This we can claim is Alia’s best action avatar. In a way, Alia is the main focus of the movie. However, the performances by Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor are really commendable. Both have done a good job of justifying their roles. Other artists who have made an impression include Vishal Kapal, Divyendu Bhattacharya, and Dia Mirza.
Although music does not play a major role in this action-thriller movie, the music of Rohaansh and Abeer Pandit and the score by Sanchit and Ankit Balhara are quite good and enhance the beauty of the film.
Overall, this is one of the best action movies of the year. So, it is highly recommended for action movie lovers to watch it at least once.
