Actress Shivjyoti Rajput hails from Delhi and has done many modeling assignments, ad films, web series, and films, but she is noticed in actor Sonu Sood’s recently released movie Fateh. Prior to working in Fateh, she had worked in Jahangir National University (JNU); released last year, it was not a box-office hit but critically acclaimed and much discussed. In an exclusive interview with Yogesh Mishra, she spoke about her childhood days, her favorite actor, her working experience with Sonu Sood in Fateh, future projects, and more.

Hey there! How was little Shivjyoti like? Any fun childhood stories you’d like to share?
I was a bit of a shy kid, but always had a spark in me. Not many memories stick out, but I do remember that every parent wanted their child to be my friend in school. My teachers even used to ask my dad for sweets whenever they handed over my report card to my parents. Good times!
What Bollywood movie or song really tugs at your heartstrings?
“Dil To Pagal Hai” is the one movie that I know I’ll still be watching when I’m 50.
How do you lift your spirits when you’re feeling down?
I just take a nice nap
Do you have a favorite Bollywood actor? If so, who and why?
Can’t say I have a favorite, but there are a few that I really admire.
Tell us about your experience working with Sonu Sood in “Fateh.”
Working with Sonu Sood was truly eye-opening. Seeing someone work so hard even at 50 made me realize that we should never settle for less and always stay disciplined. My mom once told me that even a stopped clock is right twice a day. So, never stop believing in miracles.
Any exciting movie projects coming up for you?
We’ll just have to wait and see!
