Director Jaspal Singh Sandhu’s Vadh 2 is the second instalment of Vadh (2022), but the story is standalone, not a sequel. The only common thing is the onscreen chemistry of Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta.
The protagonist of the tale is Shambhunath Mishra (Sanjay Mishra). In the Madhya Pradesh Police Department, he works with Jailer Prakash Singh (Kumud Mishra). Prisoner Manju Singh (Neena Gupta) is also incarcerated in the same facility, but she feels a particular affection for Shambhunath. In the jail, they meet in secret and confess their unique affections for one another. The same jail also houses another inmate, Keshav (Akshay Dogra), who tries in vain to physically touch a female inmate named Naina Kumari (Yogita Bihani). His illegal actions persist even in prison, so one day Jailer Prakash Singh enters the cell and severely beats Keshav till he passes out. The following day, Keshav disappears from the jail, and an investigation begins with several inmates and police officials being questioned. The true core of the narrative is the climax. Therefore, one must watch it to find out what occurs at the end.
The film revolves around Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta. Sanjay Mishra gives an incredibly natural and remarkable performance. Neena Gupta, on the other hand, has elevated her performance. Aside from them, performers Shilpa Shukla, Akshay Dogra, and Kumud Mishra have also left their mark with strong performances. All artists have given it their all.
Although music doesn’t play a major role in this crime thriller, still the songs by Rochak Kohli and the score by Advait Nemlekar are quite good and enhance the beauty of the film.
This movie demonstrates the charisma of Jaspal Singh Sandhu’s direction. The screenplay, dialogue, and storyline hold the audience’s interest till the very end. Sapan Narula has really strong cinematography.
Overall, this is one of the finest crime-thriller. Neena Gupta and Sanjay Mishra’s onscreen chemistry will definitely entertain the audience. So, why wait? Go and watch it in your nearest cinema hall.
