Director Reema Kagti’s Superboys of Malegaon is one of the inspiring films of an aspiring film director who created a unique history in a small town.

The story revolves around Nasir Shaikh (Adarsh Gourav), who runs a video parlour along with his elder brother in a small town in Malegaon. Apart from that, he also runs a business of video shooting and editing for locals on their personal occasions. His knowledge of video editing leads to an extent that he started mixing more than one film in a film to make it funnier and more interesting to get more audience at his video parlour.

Since he was not aware of the piracy and copyright issues of such activities, local police shut down his business, which broke his family’s financial situation. But this incident changed his thought process, where he decided to make his own films to avoid piracy issues. Despite having less money and knowledge, he makes a team of friends to start his own film. Was this really possible for him to make a film? Did he really become able to arrange funds and the right resources to make a film? Was he really able to achieve his ultimate goal? To know the answers to all these questions, one must watch the film.

Director Reema Kagti did really wonders with this beautiful script. She relived the 90s era that had happened really in a small town like Malegaon. The magic of her direction can easily be seen in this film.

Actors like Adarsh Gaurav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora, Anuj Singh Duhan, and Riddhi Kumar have really put in their best and fully justified their roles. Every artist looked so natural and was the best fit into their respective characters that made this film really impressive and heart-touching.

Although music doesn’t play a major role in this honest story of a few small-town boys, still the music of Sachin-Jigar is quite impressive and up to the mark.

Overall, this is an inspiring tale of a handful Malegaon small-town youngsters who accomplished amazing things with very little funding by creating films that were not only released but also left an impact. Why wait, then? Go see it at the theatre that is closest to you.
