Film showcases the life and journey of an honest and genuine common man who struggles to survive in this complex world. This is simple yet most effective story of a street side tailor who becomes one of the country’s renowned fashion designer.

Story revolves around Mauji (Varun Dhawan) who is notliterate but championed himself in the art of tailoring. Since his financial situation is not good so his wife Mamta (Anushka Sharma) and parents are forced to live like a lower middle class family. His father (Raghuvir Yadav) always suggest him to be

loyal to his boss but his boss treats him like a dog. One day Mauji goes with family in the marriage party of his Boss’s son where he was badly insulted and treated like a dog. This scene was not tolerable for Mamta so she requests him to leave this job and suggests him to start his own tailoring business. After few if’s and but’s he finally agrees to do business. Since he was not having funds so he faces lots of problem initially but gradually many people started supporting him thus business situation becomes better.

His journey does not stop here. He dared to participate in one of the biggest fashion show of the town with his desi collections named ‘Sui Dhaaga : Made In India’. How he wins the race in fashion industry is the real crux of the story.

In the role of Mauji, Varun looked very innocent. We can say this is one of the finest performance by Varun Dhawan. On the other side Anushka as a bahu of a lower middle class family looked stunning. She played her character in simply the best way. Her natural acting has impressed the audience. Other actors including Raghuvir Yadav have even justified their roles.

This is an inspirational movie. This is so natural that any common man who belongs to a lower middle class can relate his / her real life. Director Sharat Katariya has taken care of all the minor things in the film. Whatever happens generally in a lower middle class family in day today life are beautifully covered. Apart from story, music is the another beauty of this film. Somewhere we can feel the perfection in the making of this film. This is simple yet effective movie. It can be recommended to see at least once.
