On May 15, 2024 the poster of Anjali Patil and Sharib Hashmi starrer film Malha’s poster launched. In the last few years, the trend of anthology films in a single cinema has increased. The film “Malhar” is going to be released in theatres on 31 May. Starring experienced actors like Srinivas Pokle, Sharib Hashmi, Anjali Patil, this upcoming film is a beautiful blend of three stories which are interconnected and take place in the same village.
The poster of producer Praful Pasad’s film Malhar was launched at Red Bulb Studio in Mumbai where the entire team associated with the film along with the producer, director and all the actors were present. Anjali Patil’s look is completely different in the poster, which is giving a glimpse of her unique character, while Sharib Hashmi is also impressing with his thick moustache.
Producer Praful Pasad says that, “Malhar Village is a wonderful confluence of three stories taking place in Kutch. We have woven the film in an interesting manner so that the audience gets complete entertainment. This film tells the story of two best friends. The story revolves around his struggle to get his hearing aid repaired.”
Actress Anjali Patil, who has shown her acting prowess in many Hindi, Marathi and South films including Chakravyuh and Newton, is also very excited about Malhar’s engagement story. She says, “One of the three stories in the film is of Kesar who has recently got married to Laxman, who is the son of the sarpanch of that village. Even after few days of marriage she is not getting pregnant so her in-laws are continuously cursing her and how does she get out of it.”
Actor Sharib Hashmi is happy to be a part of Malhar. He says, “Out of the three stories of the film, one story is of Javed and his elder sister Jasmine. Jasmine falls in love with a Hindu boy, Jatin. The story shows their struggle to meet and live together, how they face this love and its consequences, this is what the story is about.”
The film stars Srinivas Pokle, Sharib Hashmi, Anjali Patil, Rishi Saxena, Mohammed Samad and Akshata Acharya. The film is produced by Praful Pasad and directed by director Vishal Kumbhar. The film’s dialogues have been written by Siddharth Salvi, Swapnil Sitaram and screenplay by Vishal Kumbhar, Apoorva Patil. Cinematography is by Ganesh Kamble, compilation is by Akshay Kumar and music is by T. Satish & Sarang Kulkarni. The film will be released simultaneously in theatres in Hindi and Marathi languages on May 31.
