Besides being an astrologer and healer Rinhee Suberwal is also an ace choreographer. She says that her journey in dance began since her early childhood.
“When I was just one and a half years old, I started dancing and gave my first performance. Coming from a family of artists, it was naturally in my blood, in my DNA. It all began organically. Honestly, I always wanted to face the camera and become an actor. Performing was my passion. But as they say, everyone has their own time to rise, and I believe that was my time. Whatever opportunities the universe gave me, I just went with them. At the age of 21, I opened my own academy, which was a huge achievement. In a city like Mumbai, most academies run on rental spaces, but I have had my own academy since I was 21,” she says.
The choreographer trained under Shaimak Davar. Talking about the same, she says, “Shaimak Davar is a mentor to many and has transformed so many lives. The way he grooms and guides you not only shapes your skills but also prepares you mentally for the real world. Under his training, you become strong enough to face anything that comes your way. That has been his biggest contribution to my life.”
She has also been part of MSM Dance Academy, owned by the legendary actor-choreographer Prabhu Deva’s father, M Sundaram Master, and run by his brother, Raju Sundaram. “Yes, it is a prestigious association, and I am truly proud that I had the opportunity to be a part of it. Becoming associated with IFTCA alongside master Nagendra Prasad Sir is an honor. It is indeed a proud moment for me and my family because when you represent the legacy of Michael Jackson and his family, it means you are truly special in some way,” she says.
She adds, “Definitely working with such legends changed my perspective on life in general. It made me realize that even though I come from a well-off family and had everything I needed, my struggle was never physical or financial. It was a mental struggle—the strong desire to become something and the determination to make it happen. Prabhu Deva and his family made me realize that life doesn’t always go the way we want it to. When opportunities come your way, you need to accept them and move forward. And if you are still determined to achieve what you want, you will reach your goal.”
