Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s Param Sundari, directed by Tushar Jalota, is one of the most anticipated romantic comedy movies of the year.

The story revolves around Param (Sidharth Malhotra), an aspiring Delhi-based businessman who failed in many business ventures, but he is overconfident about his new idea of starting a matrimonial site. His father (Sanjay Kapoor), a renowned businessman, promises to give financing to his new venture with the condition that he find the right match/life partner for himself through this site. Param took the challenge, and as suggested by his own matrimonial site, he found a Kerala-based girl, Sundari (Janhvi Kapoor), a perfect match for him. To win the heart of Sundari within a given frame of time, Param leaves for Kerala with his friend (Manjot Singh). After many struggles, he finally comes closer to Sundari’s life, but before he could reveal his desire to marry her, he comes to know about her childhood friend whom she was going to marry soon. Climax is the real crux of the story. So, to know what happens at the end, one must watch the film.

Actors Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor have done their best, but the poor storyline and loosely written screenplay made the film much less interesting. Other artists like Sanjay Kapoor and Manjot Singh have done their best but still could not hold the attention of the audience. The movie does not have many twists and turns to keep the interest level of the audience high. Being too predictable, even the climax could not impress the audience.

Despite all odds, the cinematography by Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran is outstanding. The beautiful natural locations of Kerala are quite impressive. Apart from good cinematography, music is also another strength of the film. Songs like Pardesiya sung by Sonu Nigam, Chand Kagaz Ka sung by Vishal Mishra, and Sundari Ke Pyar Mein sung by Sumonto Nukherjee are quite impressive and entertaining.

Overall, the movie failed to entertain the audience for various factors. The poor direction, loosely written screenplay, and dialogues actually made the film below average.
