Director Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino… truly unfolds the life’s dilemma many people facing in the metro cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru etc.

The story revolves around four different people from the various metro cities of India. The most interesting story belongs to Monty (Pankaj Tripathi), who lives with his wife Kajol (Konkana Sen Sharma) and a teenage daughter. One day, Monty is badly exposed for his extramarital affair by his wife only, and thus, life becomes miserable. The other story is about Parimal (Anupam Kher), who had great chemistry with Shivani (Neena Gupta) during college but could not propose marriage. Now, even after 40 years, neither is able to forget those moments, and they try to relive those moments now. The other story belongs to Akash (Ali Fazal), an aspiring playback singer in love with Shruti (Fatima Shana Shaikh). His real-life struggle in making his career in the film industry destroys his love life. On the other side, Partha (Aditya Roy Kapoor) struggles to find true love, which, to a large extent, he finds in Chumki (Sara Ali Khan). Both are quite confused about the way forward if they marry. couple of others who are in a dilemma about their personal lives, not knowing what is happening and what can happen to them. So, to know what happens at the end to these multiple stories, one must watch the film.

Every artist has done their best, but in a true sense, Pankaj Tripathi is the heart and soul of this film. He has impressed the audience with his outstanding performances. Apart from him, other artists like Anupam Kher, Saswata Chatterjee, Konkona Sen Sharma, Neena Gupta, Sara Ali Khan, and Ali Fazal have also done justice to their parts.

The storyline is good and quite engaging. The screenplay and dialogues are up to the mark and gel with the situations. Since most of the sequences in the film are quite common and relatable, most of the people, especially those living urban lives, will enjoy the movie. Apart from a good storyline, the music of Pritam is another strength that enhances the beauty of the film.

Despite many good things, movies sometimes fail to engage the audience. The length of the movie is a little more than it is actually needed. Especially the second half is comparatively dull. The rock music is quite loud, and sometimes people may get irritated.

Overall, this movie unfolds the spicy lifestyle of metros that will be able to connect most of the people living an urban lifestyle. So, why wait? Don’t miss this beautiful craft of director Anurag Basu.
