Main Vaapas Aaunga,” directed by Imtiaz Ali, is yet another gem from his creative repertoire.

The story revolves around Ishar Singh Grewal, alias Keenu (Naseeruddin Shah), who hails from Pakistan but came to India during partition. Keenu leaves his deep-rooted love and childhood friend Jia (Sharvari) in Pakistan with a promise to come back and meet. The partition of India has given Keenu’s family the deepest wound, and even after so many years he finds it tough to forget. But a twist comes in his life when he madly recalls his love, Jia, now at the age of almost 95. Because of the overage and multiple medical issues, Keenu hardly recalls those days. Now at this point in time, he wishes to meet his love when he is on his deathbed. His grandson Nirvair Grewal (Diljit Dosanjh) tries to find out the possible information from him in instalments and goes to Pakistan to see if Jia is still alive and her address still exists there. The climax is the real crux of the story. So, to know what happens at the end, one must watch it.

The audience is captivated by the plot and doesn’t want to miss a single scene since it is so fantastic. The audience can’t stop complimenting the dialogue and screenplay since they are so potent. Every scene and sequence is so compelling that it keeps the audience’s interest until the very end. There are certain violent and murderous episodes that are too intense to witness with the unaided eye. However, these scenes are truly the most significant turning points and must be shown.

This time around, Imtiaz Ali’s magnetism is evident once more. He’s just done his best. His classic works, such as “Jab We Met” and “Amar Singh Chamkeela,” may come to mind. Imtiaz Ali’s leadership has advanced to a new level this time.

The film’s central character is renowned actor Naseerddin Shah. His portrayal of an elderly guy near death is simply amazing. In addition to him, the audience was captivated by Diljit Dosanjh’s masterful performance. Vedang Raina’s portrayal of the young Naseeruddin Shah is entirely appropriate. Vedang has fulfilled his role to the fullest. Another draw of the movie is actress Sharvari. Other performers who have made an impression include Danish Pandor, Rajat Kapoor, Sanjay Suri, Kumud Mishra, Anjana Sukhani, and others.

AR Rahman’s soundtrack is another USP of the movie, in addition to its excellent plot and writing. The film’s attractiveness is really enhanced by the lovely, melodic melodies.

Overall, this is just another masterpiece by Imtiaz Ali. So, why wait? Go and watch it in your nearest cinema hall.
