Director Advait Chandan’s Loveyapa is one of the most anticipated movies of young talents Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor.
The story revolves around two Delhi-based lovebirds, Baani Sharma (Khushi Kapoor) and Gaurav Sachdeva (Junaid Khan). Both mostly spend their time on mobile calls and social media and are lost in the virtual friend circles. One day Baani calls Gaurav at her home to meet her father, Mr. Sharma (Ashutosh Rana). To know if Baani and Gaurav really have full trust in each other, Mr. Sharma suggests both of them exchange their mobile phones for a day. Looking at the situation, they had no choice but to exchange their phones for a day. The actual twist comes in their friendship when they both attend each other’s phone calls and read all their chats and search history. The climax is the real crux of the story, so to know what happens at the end, one must watch the film.
The story and screenplay are beautifully written to showcase the mirror to today’s generation, who strongly believe in the virtual world rather than having real-time feelings for each other. Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor are the center of attraction in the film, but Ashutosh Rana and Kiku Sharda have also made their presence felt with their outstanding performances. The performances of Junaid and Khushi are quite impressive. Other than them, artists like Tanvika Parlikar, Grusha Kapoor, Devishi Madaan, and Nikhil Mehta, etc., have also justified their parts.
Despite having a good modern love story, it could not be strongly supported with music. None of the songs could really impress the audience.
The director, Advait Chandan, has really tried his level best to showcase this ultramodern love story. He actually understood the way the current generation is going deeply into the virtual world.
Overall, this is one of the finest modern love stories of the year that no youngster should miss. So why wait? If you too wish to see the side effects of today’s virtual love, go and watch it in your nearest cinema hall.
