Urvashi, the model or the beauty pageant holder or the actress. What defines you the best?
Participating in Miss Diva was a decision but I am best defined as an actress. I have won two pageants before but not for fame. I always wanted to do something for my country. Actually, Bollywood gives me immense pleasure.
North or South you fit in every movie so well. Any trade secret you would like to share with us?
It’s just natural. There is no secret. Opportunities in Bollywood and Hollywood were many. I just go with the flow.
You’re one of the youngest actor to win so many beauty titles. Is there a hidden desire or some great inspiration behind this success?
I have always admired and loved the pageant, Miss Universe. However, everything happens at the right time. In 2012, Sushmita Sen had groomed me and this time I got the chance to get groomed by Lara Dutta. I respect both the beautiful ladies.
Being an active basketball champ for years and lived with Garhwalis, how different is life today?
My personality is very much the same. I haven’t changed. I still crack jokes. Of course, there is a sense of responsibility too. Life is different here because I have grown up playing with snow and in mid of nature. I was completely a girl who is lived her entire life with trees and with natural beauties. So here, it’s kind of different. But it’s fun.
You are involved with many social causes. How difficult is managing all these activities at such a young age?
See, this is my passion. Social activities and ‘Urvashi Rautela foundation’ is my only passion these days. So it’s not about how I manage. I just feel so happy about it.
As per sources you are well versed with eight dance forms. How and why?
Again, when it comes to dance, I am very passionate about it. So yeah everything comes with a passion and there is no better answer to that why and how.
You have earned title of one of top 100 sexiest women in the world. What type of man do you desire of?
I like a man with a great sense of humour and at the same time he should be intelligent too.
Do you think recognition for your work came later than you expected?
I just keep on working hard. I don’t think about the result and I don’t even think of recognition of my work came later or before. It’s just that I want to keep working hard and maintain my quality of work.
It’s said that you don’t follow smoking or drinking alcohol. Does that mean that you have never tried it too?
Yes, I never tried smoking or drinking. I don’t smoke or drink. But I have had a lot of pressure from my friends and other people. I try not to divulge myself into all these activities because I am completely a fitness enthusiast.
Some magazines stated that Sushmita Sen was kind of a mentor to you in the industry. How true is that?
Yes of course Sushmita Sen was the one who guided me and mentored me in 2012. So in a way, that’s true.
Name five actors that you think will make the best pair with you in the entertainment industry.
Hrithik Roshan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar.
