Isha Koppikar is a renowned Bollywood actress turned politician. She has been part of many blockbuster Hindi movies and has currently worked in a multilingual film, “Aylaan,” which is being released and doing extremely well at the box office. She recently got invited to the “Bollywood Town Lifestyle Awards 2024” as a chief celebrity guest and stole the spotlight. This award show was held at Hotel Orchid, Mumbai, on January 27, 2024. In an exclusive interview with Yogesh Mishra, she spoke about her Bollywood and political journey so far, her favorite Bollywood actor and movie, her future plans, and more.

Can you define yourself in one line?

Divinely guided, drama free and vibrating high as a matter of habit.

From a beauty pageant to actress to a politician how was your journey so far?

Not a smooth journey at all… But memorable. The tip of a mountain is the bottom of another. Nothing is easy, likewise nothing is impossible. We learn, grown, change evolve as we move ahead in life but what’s important is to be persistent and consistent and not to lose the purity of your soul in this journey called life.

Which Bollywood movie or song touches your heart?

‘Suna Suna lamha lamha’ and ‘Veer Zara’

Who is your favourite Bollywood actor and why?

Ranbir Kapoor is my favourite actor because he is extremely versatile.

What were your turning points in your professional life?

‘Khallas’ and ‘Don’

What are your upcoming movie projects?

Aylaan multilingual just released last week. Doing extremely well at the box office.

What do you do when feel low?

Work out, pray, meet friends and chill, listen to music. Eat good food.

You have joined BJP. What exactly inspired you to join politics?

Modi ji’s governance.

The Ayodhya Ram Mandir dispute came to an end after 500 years. Do you have any plans to visit Ayodhya in the near future?

Yes of course I will visit very soon. Lots of people who spend their money visiting religious places in other countries. I urge them too, to visit Ayodhya and religious places in our own country.

You were featured in Bollywood Town magazine earlier and once again invited as a chief guest for its prestigious Bollywood Town Lifestyle Awards. How do you feel about being associated with Bollywood Town?

I am thankful and humbled.
