NEW DELHI: Today, August 8, 2025, the long-delayed release of “Udaipur Files – Kanhaiya Lal Tailor Murder,” is finally happening. The Delhi High Court denied a stay of the film’s release on Thursday, stating that the petitioner had not proven that he would suffer irreversible harm if the release was not halted. On Friday, the film, which was produced by Amit Jani, will be released in theatres.
The Delhi high court briefly halted it on July 10 after it was originally scheduled to be released on July 11. The Centre approved its release on July 21, provided the director completed six more changes. The Centre, however, revoked its ruling on August 1 and issued a new one on August 6 that maintained the film’s certification.
