Maneesh Sharma’s directorial debut film ‘Fan’ is the story of a Gaurav Chandna, a 20 year young man whose world revolves around a megastar Aryan Khanna (Shah Rukh Khan). Gaurav is obsessed with everything that Aryan Khanna does. The entire walls of his room are covered with cutouts of the actor in his various movie roles. Even the cyber cafe that Gaurav runs is named after his favourite actor- AK Cyber Chat.

The whole drama begins when Gaurav Chandna after winning a local talent contest with his Aryan tribute act decides to go to Mumbai and try to show his award to Aryan Khanna.

Such is his love for the star that Gaurav tries every possible way to meet and impress his favourite star but he couldn’t. Instead Aryan scolds him for doing all this. Soon Gaurav’s love and passion for his God turns into a dangerous obsession.

Shah Rukh Khan’s dual character in the movie is amazing. Shah Rukh skillfully balances out the nuances of Gaurav and Aryan in a clever way.

Despite of few flawed script, fan does deliver something good. The action sequences are top notches. It’s a decent one time watch film.
