Director Koratala Siva’s Devara: Part 1 is one of the finest blends of action, emotion, and violence. Brutality being at the core of the storyline meets the tastes of today’s moviegoers.
The story revolves around Devara (Jr. NTR), who lives in a small i-land village somewhere in South India. Devara leads the team of trained goons who work for him in the ship smuggling business. Once upon a time, their forefathers used to fight with the enemies of the country in the sea, but over the period of time, the new generation forgot their original principles of why they used to work like a private army in the Indian Ocean. One of the group heads is Bhaira (Saif Ali Khan), who is crueller and does not have any sympathy for mankind. He lives only for money. Once, during a fight between Navy officers, Devara realized if he was doing the right things for the country or not, but Bharia was against him. Does this conflict end? Does Devara survive in that scenario? The climax is the real crux of the story. So, to know what happens at the end, one must watch the film.
Jr. NTR and Saif Ali Khan are the real attractions of the film. Both have impressed the audience with their high-octane action performances. Jr. NTR is the heart and soul of the film. The kind of action scenes performed by him are highly appreciable. The fight scenes inside the sea seem real and are quite powerful. Other artists like Prakash Raj, Janhvi Kapoor, Zarina Wahab, Shruti Marathe, Srikanth, etc. have also done justice to their parts.
Action scenes are the real attraction of the film. Even murder scenes are quite natural and mostly can’t be seen with necked eyes. The action comes with the violence in the film, so if you are planning to watch the film, avoid taking kids with you. Due to the heavy number of violent scenes, weak-hearted people should avoid watching it.
Apart from the storyline and action scenes, the music is another strength of the film. The music of Anirudh Ravichander is quite impressive, and the dance sequences of Jr. NTR are also mind-blowing.
Overall, this is one of the finest action films of the year. This is a must watch for those who love to watch action movies, especially action with the violence. So, why wait? Go and watch it in your nearest cinema hall.
