De De Pyaar De 2, directed by Anshul Sharma, is a sequel to De De Pyaar De (2019) that picks up where part 1 left off.

The story revolves around Ashish (Ajay Devgn), a 51-year-old rich man who is separated from his wife and two children, lives in London, and has been in a live-in relationship with Ayesh (Rakul Preet Singh), who is almost half his age. Ayesha belongs to a modern family based in North India. One day she decided to introduce Ashish to her parents, Rakesh (R. Madhavan) and Anju (Gautami Kapoor). Despite being ultra-modern, her parents don’t accept her decision to marry Ashish. As a part of the conspiracy, her father calls Aditya (Meezaan Jafri), Ayesha’s childhood friend, to seduce Ayesha and make her agree to marriage. Does Ayesh change her decision? Does Aditya become successful in seducing her? Climax is the real crux of the story, so, to know what happens at the end, one must watch it.

Actress Rakul Preet Singh is the center of attraction in the film. Her performance is simply wonderful. Actor Ajay Devgn has fewer dialogues but very powerful expression; especially his eyes delivered more dialogues than written in the script. Apart from them, actors like R. Madhavan and Meezaan Jafri have also impressed the audience with their outstanding performances. Other than them, actress Gautami Kapoor and Jaaved Jaaferi have also made their presence felt.

Apart from a decent storyline, the music of Yo Yo Honey Singh, Jaani, Aditya Dev-Payal Dev, Avvy Sra, Sagar Bhatia, and the background score by Hitesh Sonik are also good and quite impressive.

Overall, this movie is mediocre. You might enjoy this as well if you enjoyed the last installment. Even though movie falls short of the audience’s expectations, fans of Rakul Preet Singh and Ajay Devgn can still make plans to see it at least once.
