Chhaava, one of the most anticipated movies of director Laxman Utekar, has finally arrived on the big screen to make people aware of an eye-opening saga of great-grand Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Since most people are aware of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, there is no need to tell the story. The movie is based on Shivaji Sawant’s famous novel “Chhava.”. In short, the story belongs to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of the greatest ever iconic Maratha king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who fought with Mughal emperor Aurangzeb and sacrificed every drop of his blood for the Hind Swaraj.

Director Laxman Utekar has his own way of showcasing the grand historic era in a larger-than-life way. The charisma of Utekar’s direction can be seen here. Every scene, in fact every frame, makes the audience feel like they are part of that historic era and will feel proud of being part of the country that belongs to the greatest ever warrior, like Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Hats off to the maker of the film.

Actor Vicky Kaushal is the heart and soul of the film. He has fully justified the role of Sambhaji Maharaj. The kind of body-shape, facial expression and the get-up he carries is really outstanding and unforgettable. This we can say is the finest performance of Vicky Kaushal so far. Gorgeous Rashmika Mandanna in the role of Maharani Yesubai looked simply awesome. She has done full justice to her part. Apart from them, other artists like Vineet Kumar Singh, Ashutosh Rana, Diana Penty, etc., have also made their presence felt.

The audience will definitely fall in love with actor Akshaye Khanna’s portrayal of Aurangzeb. His on-screen persona is simply amazing. His change into the elderly Aurangjeb truly captures the audience’s interest. His facial expressions have more power than his words. The audience has been won over by Akshaye Khanna despite the sparse discourse. The audience will undoubtedly remember his incredible performance.

Apart from a great grand historic saga, the music of A.R. Rahman is another USP of the film. Songs and the background score fully justify that era and are quite impactful.

Overall, this is one of the finest ever historic action film that no Indian should miss. So, why wait? Go and experience this power-packed historic saga in your nearest cinema hall.
