Director Ssanjay Tripaathy’s “Binny And Family” is one of the finest family dramas of the year. Movies beautifully talk about family values and beyond.

The story revolves around a teenager, Binny (Anjini Dhawan), who resides with her parents in London. Her grandparents, Mr Singh (Pankaj Kapur) and Mrs Singh (Himani Shivpuri), live in their native village in Bihar. Her grandfather, Mr. Singh, who is a retired person, used to come to London mostly for medical reasons, which Binny doesn’t like because she had to share her room with them. Grandparents being little orthodox in mentality is something that she doesn’t like to live with. Twist comes into their lives when Binny doesn’t allow her parents to call her grandmother back to London for medical treatment. Due to her stubborn nature, her grandmother dies in India but didn’t come to London for treatment. Climax is the real crux of the story. To know what happens at the end, one must watch the movie.

The direction of Ssanjay Tripaathy is outstanding. He has taken care of every bit, especially the emotional scenes. Actor Pankaj Kapur is the heart and soul of the film. The maturity can not only be seen in his age but also in his acting skills. He has performed simply the best. On the other side, actor Rajesh Kumar is another attraction of the film. Apart from them, newcomer Anjini Dhawan has also impressed the audience with her outstanding performance. She has fully done justice to her part. Other artists like Himani Shivpuri, Charu Shankar, Naman Tripathi, Sammy Jonas, Ruchika Jain, etc. have also kept their importance felt with their nice performances.

The film beautifully talks about the generation gap and its effects. It also talks about the values of the older generation, who are assets and not liabilities for new generations. A beautiful line by Pankaj Kapur in the film is, “The lifestyles between the two generations can change, but life is the same for all generations.” We should understand the values of life rather than our lifestyle. There are many films based on such themes, but this film has a unique style of storytelling.

Apart from a good storyline, the music is another strength of the film. Vishal Mishra and Lalit Pandit’s music touches the heart of the audience and enhances the beauty of the film.

Overall, this is one of the finest movies that no Indian should miss. This is a must-watch movie for Indian families, so why wait? Go and watch it in your nearest theatre.
