After spending a decade in the industry, actress Aalisha Panwar will be seen in a webseries titled Vinny Ki Kitaab. Aalisha is known for her acting in shows like Ishq Mein Marjawan and Teri Meri Ikk Jindri. She will be debuting on ott in the title character. When asked more about her role she says,”I’ve been in the industry for 10 years, and Vinny Ki Kitaab is actually my very first web series. Over the years, I received many offers for good web shows as a lead on major platforms. The roles were strong, and everything got aligned, but I had to say no because there were certain parts and scenes I wasn’t personally comfortable performing. So, until now, I couldn’t take up any web series as most of them went beyond my comfort zone. But Vinny Ki Kitaab was different. I connected with the character instantly. I loved Vinny, I loved the story, and most importantly, I felt comfortable throughout the narrative. Thanks to the makers — especially my producer, Agastya Jain — who constantly reassured me that they would never force me into anything uncomfortable. Their support allowed me to stay in my comfort zone and enjoy playing such a beautiful character.“
Throwing light on Vinny she says,”Playing Vinny was an emotional and creatively fulfilling experience. As a woman, I could relate to many of the nuances she goes through — her dreams, her fantasies, her desire to feel loved and treated specially by the person she loves. I also connected with her emotional journey. Especially when she faces betrayal, heartbreak, and vulnerability. Vinny also made me realise how much strength every woman holds within — emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. She taught me that no woman should let herself be taken for granted and that speaking up for yourself is important.” Talking about her look in the series she adds,”Her look in the series is simple, graceful, and very true to who she is. The styling is beautiful which reflects her emotional arc and personality, and I loved how naturally I could slip into her world.”
It was shot in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, Aalisha shares the atmosphere was absolutely wonderful cold, serene, and visually stunning. Shooting there added a special charm to the journey of the character. Aalisha also shares her views on her Producer Agastya Jain. She says,” He was incredibly kind and made sure I was comfortable at all times. He would repeatedly tell me, “Don’t worry, we’ll shoot everything in a way that keeps you comfortable.” That reassurance made a huge difference. Our director, Vaibhav sir, guided me beautifully. This is my fourth project with him, so we share a strong working rapport. The entire team made the shoot enjoyable, and when we cut the wrap-up cake on the last day, we genuinely felt emotional. We were already hoping the show becomes a hit and returns with Season 2.”
Every role we play we learn something from that, on this Aalisha shares,”What I learned from this role was truly meaningful: Women are far stronger than they realise. We are emotionally, spiritually, and mentally powerful. We fight our battles silently and rise stronger each time. Vinny taught me never to let anyone take you for granted. Love wholeheartedly, but speak up for yourself when something feels wrong. Don’t be afraid of ‘log kya kahenge.’This character has given me many personal lessons, and I feel grateful for that.”
