Article 370 is based on the abrogation of Article 370 by the Govt. of India from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019. Yami Gautam Dhar, the leading lady of the film, centrally controls the entire thing and is the real attraction of the film.
The Prime Minister’s office wishes to abolish Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, which gives special status to the state, but things are not that easy. The Prime Minister (Arun Govil) selects a top National Security Agencies (NIA) agent, Zooni Haksar (Yami Gautam Dhar), to handle the situation before the government brings the proposal to abrogate Article 370 from the state. Zooni gets special powers, and accordingly, she reports directly to the Joint Secretary of PMO Rajeshwari Swaminathan (Priyamani). PM gives charge to the Home Minister (Kiran Karmarkar) to put the proposal in Rajyasabha and Loksabha. Since this is a known fact to everyone, we need not say what would have happened in the climax.
Actress Yami Gautam Dhar is the center of attention in the film. To the extent we can say so, she is the soul of the film. The action sequences by Yami are the real USP of the film. Her performance is highly appreciable. Apart from this leading lady, actor Kiran Karmarkar, in the role of a home minister, has fully justified his part. Ramayan serial fame Arun Govil is another attraction in the film. He has played the role of Prime Minister, and his get-up really matches with the current PM of India. Apart from them, almost every artist has given their best.
The story, screenplay, and dialogue are written beautifully. Every incident in the film is shown to the point that it happened in the past. Although director Aditya Suhas Jambhale has tried to take a little bit of cinematic liberty, the film still, to a greater extent, showcases the factual findings of how the abrogation of Article 370 happened in 2019.
Overall, this is one of the finest political action thrillers, closest to the real incidents. This is the result of the honest efforts of director Aditya Suhas Jambhale to showcase the history of Article 370, from its implementation to the abrogation. So, why wait? Go and watch it in your nearest cinema hall.
