140 countries come together for a grand beauty pageant in Telangana for the 72nd Miss World Festival

Hyderabad, March 20, 2025: As Telangana proudly hosts the prestigious 72nd Miss World Festival from May 7 to May 31, 2025, Miss World 2025 is poised to take center stage. With 140 countries expected to participate, Telangana will be the focus of attention as it gets ready to present its rich cultural history and tourism potential on a never-before-seen scale. Distinguished dignitaries and international officials attended a lavish pre-launch news conference held at the Plaza Hotel in Hyderabad, where the announcement was made.

A customary pooja ceremony marked the start of the press conference, signifying a fortunate and successful start to the occasion. Ms. Julia Morley, CBE, Chairman and CEO of Miss World Limited; Ms. Krystyna Pyszková, the current 71st Miss World from the Czech Republic; Mr. Patel Ramesh Reddy, Chairman, Telangana Tourism Development Corporation; Ms. Smita Sabharwal, IAS, Principal Secretary, Tourism, Culture, Archaeology & Youth Affairs, Government of Telangana; and Mr. Jupally Krishna Rao Garu, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Culture & Excise, Government of Telangana, graced the occasion.
