The "Rosh" trailer, starring Mimoh Chakraborty, was shared on social media by the filmmakers. Rosh is a suspenseful thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat and give you plenty of surprises. Mimoh Chakraborty, Yash Raj (YR), Nikita Soni, and Alina Rai all have prominent roles in the movie. They are assisted by Vrajesh Hirjee, Govind Panday, Allu Ashish Soni, Jill Kilroy, and Ruchi Tiwari. Jayveer Panghaal, who previously helmed the horror movie I Know You (2020), is the director of Rosh. He is also responsible for the lyrics, language, and script.
The film tells a story full of twists and turns, where the line between the good and the bad gets blurred. Ronika, Alina, and Rajat are friends whose lives change after they meet an accident on the way back from a party. The mystery builds as the strange delivery boy Ganesh visits. Soon the conflicts rise, and the layers of mystery between Ganesh and Rajat begin to unfold, leading to raging disputes that shift the perspective between right and wrong, good and bad, the hero and the villain.
Director Jayveer Panghaal explains the core idea of the film. “Rosh is a modern take on the suspense-thriller. It has always been the tense fight between the good and the bad that gets a hold of us and makes us watch a thriller film. We are desperate to know how the good guy would win, and at the same time, we are anxious to see what the villain has up his sleeve. The entertainment factor of such films is timeless. When I wrote Rosh, I decided to build beyond the lines of these suspense thrillers and add more layers of suspense. I am happy with how the film has shaped up.”
Talking about his role, actor Mimoh Chakraborty expressed his interest in portraying a grey character. “Right from the first reading of the script, I was immediately taken by the character of Rajat Khanna. Is he good? Is he bad? Is he both? I had great scope to explore such a well-written grey character. The dynamic between Rajat and Ganesh was another aspect. The characters were both opposites to each other throughout the film and it was great to work with that duality. Rosh is one of the most interesting and different films that I have worked on.”
The film has been produced by producers Sachin Garg, Amrut Lal Soni and Jayveer Panghaal. The cinematography is by Abhay Anand, the editing by Alok Singh, and the costumes are by Anchal Dey with Vishnu Bansal as the line producer. The music and background score is by Monty Sharma and the soundtrack features songs sung by Pranav Singhal, Prikirti Kakar, and Sukriti Kakar. Under the banner of Mates Entertainment and Shivan Studio Rosh will be released in Cinema on 12th May 2023.
