Sanya Malhotra is a fine actress and even two years after her film Pagglait released on Netflix, the audience cannot stop talking about her role as Sandhya Giri, a 20-something widow who five months into her arranged marriage simply cannot grieve the loss of her husband. The story and her wonderfully nuanced performance certainly impressed viewers. It can easily go down as one of her most memorable performances in career graph.
A close friend of the actor recalls that although it was a challenge to essay someone like Sandhya, Sanya gave her heart and soul to the film. “Pagglait is a special film mainly because Sanya had never met anyone like Sandhya before. It helped her grow as an actor. When the audience reviews came in, she was so happy at how well it was received and her performance was loved by all.”
Malhotra who has had a very busy last year dividing her time between several projects last year is looking forward to four major releases Kathal, Jawan, The Great Indian Kitchen and Sam Bahadur
