The trailer of Dharma Productions’ much-awaited movie "Govinda Naam Mera" launched in Mumbai on November 20, 2022. Present were the stars Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, and Kiara Advani, along with producer Karan Johar and the Kee people from Disney Hotstar.

When asked, if there was an scope to taking Govinda in this film, producer Karan Johar says, “Not really. With great regard and respect for Govinda ji, I would say he is an iconic actor in cinema. All we borrowed is the name, perhaps. Beyond the madness that this film has, it would have been a further stretch, but we do hope that we have his blessings."
