Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Shah Rukh Khan is back after a long break, and his fans' wait is over now.

The plot revolves around Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan), a former RAW agent. The Pakistani army could not digest the decision of the Indian government to remove Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, so they decided to take revenge and thus appointed Jim (John Abraham), who leads a private terrorist organization, to terrify India in a big way. On the other side, Indian intelligence agencies prepare themselves for any such emergency. Nandini Grewal (Dimple Kapadia), head of Joint Operation and Covert Research (JOCR), takes the help of Pathaan to save the country from Jim’s operations. Pathaan, having a good track record as a spy, handles the situation tactfully. During his mission, Pathaan meets a Pakistani ISI agent named Rubina (Deepika Padukone), who indirectly becomes helpful to Pathaan. Does Pakistan become successful in its mission? What happens to Jim, who is almost as powerful and brilliant as Pathaan? To know what happens at the end, one must watch the film.

Despite having good star power, action sequences, mind-blowing locations, and good songs, the poor storyline destroys almost every other good thing. The story is very usual, and the climax was easily predictable. Screenplay and dialogue are not even up to the mark.

The best part of the film is its action scenes and foreign locations, which attract the audience and take the movie to the next level. Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, and Deepika Padukone's action sequences are highly appreciable. To a large extent, these action scenes enhance the beauty of the film.

Apart from good action scenes, music is another USP of the film. Songs became superhits prior to the film's release, adding value to the film. Songs like "Besharam Rang" and "Jhoome Jo Pathaan" are quite entertaining.

Overall, this is an average film and can be seen at least once. The fans of Shah Rukh Khan may enjoy more because this time, SRK is back with a new action avatar.
