Bhediya is one of the finest horror comedies of the year, directed by Amar Kaushik. Amar has already given hit movies like "Stree" and "Bala" in the recent past.
The story revolves around Delhi-based Bhaskar Sharma (Varun Dhawan), an emerging businessman who plans to construct a road in the forest area of Arunachal Pradesh. He moves to Arunachal with his cousin Janardan (Abhishek Banerjee) to set up the construction site there. Despite opposition from locals and government officials, he manages the situation and begins business operations there. Bhaskar gets local support there from Panda (Deepak Dobriyal) and Jomin (Palin Kabak) and leads the mission. Twist comes into his life when a wolf bites him on a strange night in the jungle, and gradually, his body takes on the transformation of a wolf in the night. He becomes a wolf in the night and goes hunting. Meanwhile, he meets Dr. Anika Mittal (Kriti Sanon), a doctor of animals. Does he continue his business there? Does Bhaskar get rid of this situation? To know the answers to these questions, one must watch the movie.
Varun Dhawan is the centre of attraction in the film. His performance is highly appreciable. On the other side, Kriti Sanon looks pretty in the film. Although she had not much to do in the film, she still made her presence felt. Other artists like Deepak Dobriyal, Abhishek Banerjee, and Paalin Kabak have entertained the audience fully. Overall, every artist has done justice to their respective parts.
Apart from a good storyline, the music of Sachin-Jigar is another strength of the film. Songs like "Jungal mein kaand" and "Thumkeshwari" are quite impressive and entertaining.
Overall, this is one of the finest horror-comedy film. The movie gives a clear message: save the jungle. Although the storyline is simple, the way it is presented and served to the audience is unique. This is simply awesome. Director Amar Kaushik has his own way of storytelling. So, why wait? Go to your nearest movie theatre and watch it.
