"Chup: Revenge of the Artist" is one of the most awaited movies by writer-director R. Balki. Once again, R. Balki has brought a unique concept that was perhaps never touched by any of the film makers. The film beautifully talks about the dark side of a few film critics.

The story revolves around Danny (Dulquer Salman), who is a florist by profession. He has a dark family history that makes him mentally imbalanced, but he cannot be observed by a common man. Nila Menon (Shreya Dhanwanthary), a Bollywood journalist by profession, usually comes to buy the flowers from his shop. Eventually, Danny falls in love with her, and their passionate love gradually leads to a physical relationship. Arvind Mathur (Sunny Deol), a top cop, faces the challenge from a psycho killer in the city who is targeting the film critics who give a biassed reviews. Looking at the situation, Inspector Mathur calls a criminal psychologist, Dr. Zenobia Shroff (Pooja Bhatt), to help him trace the killer. Does Mathur find the killer? What happens to Danny and Nila’s love story? Why were only film critics targeted by the killer? To know the answers to all these questions, one must watch the film.

Sunny Deol’s performance is highly appreciable. His role is throughout the film, and he is able to attract the attention of the audience with his powerful punches. Dulquer Salman’s work as a psycho killer is quite impressive. He has justified his role and made his presence felt. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is the surprise element in the film. He has played a very small but quite impactful role. Gorgeous Shreya Dhanwanthary is the real attraction of the film. In the "Scam1992" web series, she impressed the audience by playing the role of a fearless journalist, and once again she is playing the role of a journalist in this film and repeated history. Although Pooja Bhat does not have a bigger role to play in this film, she has still impressed the audience with her mind-blowing performance. The charisma of her acting is still alive and she delivers as the script demands. Overall, almost every artist has given their best.

Apart from a good storyline and a fabulous star cast, music is another strength of the film. The score by Aman Pant and songs by Amit Trivedi, Sneha Khanwalkar, and S.D.Burman are quite impressive.

Overall, this is just another outstanding creation by writer-director R. Balki, who succeeds in impressing the audience with this powerful crime-thriller. Apart from its good star cast, the movie has many other positives too to draw the audience to the cinema hall. So, why wait? Go and watch it.
