Director Divyang Thakkar’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar is one of the finest comedy drama of the year. Apart from Ranveer Singh, lead actress Shalini Pandey has also impressed the audience with her innocent looks and mind-blowing performance.
The story revolves around Jayeshbhai (Ranveer Singh), who lives in a small village in Gujarat with his father, Pruthvish (Boman Irani), mother Jashoda (Ratna Pathak Shah), wife Mudra (Shalini Pandey), and a daughter, Siddhi (Jia Vaidya). His parents wanted a son who could continue the legacy of the family, but unfortunately, it could not happen. They aborted six times because the daughter was supposed to come every time. His wife Mudra further conceives, but unfortunately, once again a girl child was expected. But this time, Jayeshbhai and Mudra don’t want to go for an abortion. They want to have another girl child again, but that is not acceptable to Jayesh's parents. Jayeshbhai goes beyond any extent to save this child. Will Jayeshbhai and Mundra be able to save this child? Will their parents agree to their decision? Whatever happens at the end is the real crux of the story, so one must watch the film to know what happens at the end.
Actor Ranveer Singh is the centre of attraction in the film, and he has impressed the audience with his outstanding performance. On the other hand, actress Shalini Pandey also impressed the audience with her innocent looks and mind-blowing performance. Apart from the lead pair, other artists like Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Puneet Issar, etc., have also justified their presence in the film.
Apart from a good storyline, the music is another strength of the film. The score by Sanchit and Ankit Balhara and songs by Vishal-Shekhar are quite impressive.
Overall, this is one of the finest comedy dramas of the year. The actors, Ranveer Singh and Shalini Pandey, succeeded in impressing the audience with their performances. This is simply an awesome movie. So why wait? Go and watch it in your nearest cinema hall.
