Raima Sen is one of renowned bollywood actress. Apart from Hindi films she has worked in many Bengali films too. Her some of the hit movies are- Godmother, Parineeta, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd, Teen Patti, Children of War, Vodka Diaries and many more. In an exclusive interview with Yogesh Mishra, she spoke about her upcoming movies, working experience with Kay Kay Menon, her favourite actor, future plans and more…

Define yourself in one word?


What attracts you more- money, beauty or intelligence.?


What are the things you like most in yourself?

I can easily adjust, I am very adaptable. I am really patient and take things as they come. I am black and white. I am what I am. For me, all and everything is the same. 

What is 'acting' according to you?

Acting is playing a role a character   .. for me, it's pure emotion and spontaneity 

Who is your favourite Bollywood actor and why?

Ranbir Kapoor for his spontaneous acting he is so natural not affected.. I also like Ranveer Singh he really gets into the skin of his character.

Who are the directors you wish to work with?

There's a list of directors I would like to work with. Half of them I've already worked with. The list is endless, so I'll just say I'm waiting for a fantastic role instead

What do you do when you feel low?

I listen to music. It's the best stress buster I feel. 

How was your working experience with Kay Kay Menon in Vodka Diaries?

I have worked with him earlier as well in the film 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd'. He's a superb co actor and very helpful and fun to be around.

You are quite popular in Hindi film industry but currently you are very much focused on regional films (Bengali). Any specific reason?

I've two releases this year. Vodka Diaries and Kuldip Patwal. I also have two more films that's 'Varanasi' and '3Dev'. Currently I am shooting for another Hindi 'The Last Stand Up' directed by Aryeman Ramsay and 'Anya'. So this year  more Hindi films will be there. 

You have given almost two decades to the film industry. What difference you find in those days and now?

Yea! It's been a long journey for me and cinema has always been my first love. Have always been passionate about what I do. I have just started to get more responsible because I'm doing more over like meaty roles.

Given a chance would you like to join politics?

No I wouldn't, personally. But I would still do whatever I can, to make a difference as member of the society. 

Web Series have wide impact nowadays. Any comment on this?

I've done a web series in Calcutta and the reach is huge.  It is the future of tom

What are your focus areas in 2019?

To do better films in 2019 and stay fit.
