Yeh Saali Aashiqui is a romantic thriller movie. This is a debut film of Vardhan Puri (grandson of Late Amrish Puri) and actress Shivaleeka Oberoi.
The story belongs to Sahil Mehra (Vardhan Puri) who’s father was murdered by his psycho twin brother. He lives in hostel and one day he falls in love with his collage friend Mitee Deora (Shivaleeka Oberoi). One day, a small mistake by Sahil gives a ‘U’ turn to this love story. Situation becomes so critical that Mitee started treating him like an enemy. Due to a conspiracy by Mitee, Sahilreaches to jail. Later on, Sahil came to know that Mitee has many ex boyfriends whom she has used for money. Once again story takes a 'U' turn. Now it was time for Sahil to take revenge from Mitee. How smartly Sahil comes out from jail and takes revenge from Mitee is the real crux of the story.
The story has so many tuning points and it has a power to maintain the suspense till end. Screenplay and dialogues are beautifully written. Although debutant Vardhan Puri himself has written this script along with director Cherag Ruparel but the maturity in content can be seen.
Vardhan Puri is the centre of attraction in the movie. Although he has played a negative role but he inspired the audience with his powerful performances. Vardhan’s look in anger is quite appealing so, we can say that choosing such script was a right decision for his debut film. On the other side, actress Shivaleeka Oberoi has also justified her character. As a debutant, with her pretty look and outstanding performance she manged to impress the audiance.
Overall, we can say, this is one of the finest romantic thriller movie. With this, Bollywood has got two more happening artists this year. Apart from lead actors, other actors have also justified their presence in the film. This is one of the finest thriller movie. It's good to see at least once.
